Positive Futures started as a small group of people with the aim at increasing the quality of life of those we supported and genuinely making a difference through therapy, positive behaviour support and clinical practice. We have expanded over the years and now provide a range of different services including supporting people in their homes and in the community, always with a best practice and clinical professionalism at our heart. We will continue to be a boutique organisation offering best practice support never waiving from our core values.

Directors and PFQ Pups

Storm works closely with individuals requiring positive behavioural support plans and/or cognitive assessments. He is a registered NDIS provider and has experience in developing Restricted Practice plans and assisting organisations in meeting their legislative requirements, and most importantly assisting organisations to reduce and eliminate these practices over time. Storm oversees a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of clinicians who provide services across Queensland.
Storm is passionate about his work and finds supporting and empowering people highly rewarding. Storm enjoys working closely with families and support teams to understand the challenges their loved ones are facing and watch them grow and experience a better quality of life.

Maisie's skills aren't just limited to being adorable; she's a pro at providing emotional support, reducing stress, and bringing smiles to everyone she meets. When she's off-duty, you can find Maisie soaking up affection and enjoying belly rubs from all her admirers. Her strengths include her unwavering loyalty, her intuitive nature, and of course, her expert cuddling abilities. Whether she's on the clock or taking a well-deserved break, Maisie is a furry bundle of joy, spreading happiness wherever she goes! 🌟🐕💕

🌟 Lilly has an innate ability to listen without judgment. Whether you’re sharing your thoughts or simply need a furry friend to be there, Lilly is all ears. Her presence alone can reduce stress and anxiety. Petting her soft fur has an almost magical effect on our clients.
Nonverbal Communication: Lilly communicates through wagging her tail, leaning in for cuddles, and offering her paw. Sometimes, words aren’t necessary.
🌸 Lilly loves curling up next to anyone who needs comfort. She’s the perfect companion during therapy sessions. Lilly’s playful spirit brightens everyone’s day – she loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, and hide-and-seek. When you walk through our doors, expect an enthusiastic tail wag from Lilly. She’s thrilled to meet you!

Clinician team

Kirsty has her Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology, and Bachelor degrees in Behavioural Science and Criminology. She has been providing clinical support to children and adults with disability since 2009 and has held employment within Disability Services and multiple non-Government organisations.
Her specialty is understanding challenging and harmful behaviours as communication and serving a function for the individual. By understanding function, Kirsty is able to focus on an individual’s positives and strengths, and share clear and practicable strategies for their support. Kirsty has been delivering training in Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices for over 15 years and is an accredited trainer for the Crisis Prevention Institute.
Kirsty is a mother to two children, and her dog and cat. She loves reading, cold weather and spending time with family and friends.

Cassie has a Bachelor of Behaviour Studies (Psychology), with a major in psychology and minor in criminology, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced, a Graduate Certificate of Suicide Prevention Studies and a Professional Certificate of Neurodivergent Affirming Practices. She plans to attain general registration as a psychologist; however, intends to remain working in the positive behaviour support space, focusing on suicide prevention and high intensity behaviours.
Cassie loves to crochet, has two enormous dogs, two outlandish cats, and continues working to increase the number of pets she has.

Felicity has worked within the mental health and disability sectors for more than a decade. She supports individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on adolescence to late adulthood. Felicity is an experienced trainer in the areas of Restrictive Practices and Positive Behaviour Supports, adapting her approach to suit the needs of different audiences: families, support workers, managers, or support coordinators; and assisting organisations to meet their legislative requirements.
Felicity has had research published in Disability and Rehabilitation exploring the impact of traumatic brain injury on psychosocial skills and self-perception. She is an animal lover and an avid board game enthusiast.

Holding a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Education and a specialisation in Inclusive and Special Education, Gabriella integrates her clinical expertise with her experience in early childhood education and service management, designing tailored behaviour support plans that are both effective and evidence-based. She has a particular focus on complex cases, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to implement meaningful interventions. Her approach is grounded in empathy, multicultural awareness, and collaboration.
Fluent in English, Portuguese and proficient in Spanish, and French, Gabriella excels in building meaningful connections with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. She loves travelling and movies.

Jana is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where individuals feel heard, valued and empowered. She fosters meaningful connections and works closely with clients, families and support networks to ensure holistic care. She brings warmth, patience and professionalism to every interaction and is committed to continuous development to ensure the highest quality support.

Michelle's commitment to fostering positive changes is evident in her approach to working closely with individuals and their families. She focuses on engaging clients in meaningful activities tailored to their unique needs and interests, aiming to enhance their skills and overall quality of life. Her dual expertise in behaviour support and teaching enables her to offer comprehensive, empathetic assistance that truly addresses the needs of those she serves.
Michelle cherishes the time she spends with her family, which includes her three children and two granddaughters. She enjoys time at the ocean, whether she's swimming through its waves, walking in the sand, or simply enjoying a good book by the water's edge. Michelle finds fun in arts and crafts, engaging in creative projects that no doubt adds colour and vibrancy to her life.
Complementing her dynamic lifestyle is Maisie, Michelle’s personal assistance dog and loyal furry friend, who not only provides support but also companionship. Together, they navigate the day-to-day with love and a sense of adventure, making every moment count.

Holly’s diverse professional background spans across both rural and metropolitan environments and has encompassed both the Mental Health and Disability Sectors. Holly is passionate about understanding interpersonal dynamics, working with neurodivergent individuals and those with coexisting medical needs. Holly’s practice strives to develop and nurture a sense of empowerment within individuals, through using a curious, collaborative and empathetic approach. In her own time Holly enjoys spending time with her animals and bushwalking.

With a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) and Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced, his academic background has provided him with a strong foundation in understanding human behaviour, assessment techniques, and evidence-based interventions. Through his studies, he has developed a keen interest in working with individuals to improve their quality of life and promote positive behavioural change.
Tom is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for individuals with complex behavioural problems, and looks forward to collaborating with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement effective behaviour support plans.

She has previously worked with children with a range of physical and behavioural disabilities who have fallen under the care of Child Safety and being a support coordinator for those in the NDIS. She believes that all behaviour is a means of communication and is dedicated to helping those who struggle to express their needs and desires be heard by establishing meaningful relationships with them and their support systems.
During her time as a teacher Tessa worked with children who showed a variety of complex behavioural problems and was able to individualise learning to their strengths and needs and continues to do so within the disability sector.

Administration Team

Ash loves spending time with family, playing softball, camping, and travelling and exploring new surroundings with her two daughters.
Her expertise extends to the compassionate care of children and adolescents within the care system, particularly those with complex family backgrounds. Amelia-Jane excels in fostering positive and collaborative relationships with families and caregivers, aiming to deliver a superior level of support.
Amelia-Jane approaches her work with an open-minded and optimistic outlook, with a genuine passion for helping others achieve a greater quality of life.
Direct support team

Believing in a very hands-on approach, Jason works closely with every individual, their families, and all other stakeholders to promote a person-centred support approach, giving the choice and control back to the individual to empower them to expand their skillsets, achieve their goals and live the fullest life possible.
Jason is extremely passionate about his work and thrives on supporting and empowering the people he supports. Working closely with support teams, Jason brings everyone together to function as a team to enable the individual to feel comfortable and confident with the support network around them, enabling the individual to feel that the sky is their limit, and nothing is out of their grasp.

Melita believes in building relationships, creating stability, and providing opportunities for people. She has watched the changes that the NDIS has made in the people's lives that she supports, and she wants to share her experience and knowledge with others to help more people work towards their dreams and improve their lives. She is a strong advocate and is familiar with the ever-changing NDIS system.
Melita believes in creating and fostering a team environment including participants, their families, support workers, healthcare professionals and the community, to ensure the people she supports are part of a secure and safe network.

Bhai believes every human has unique characteristics that has positive impact in the community regardless of disabilities and has right of living same quality of life that every human being wants. Bhai works closely with participants and all other stakeholders for goal settings, planning, finding out strengths with person-centred approach and providing necessary supports for their choice and control to achieve the goals and skills for their quality of life.
Bhai is highly committed in his work and brings together all the support teams to function confidently and comfortably and provides the sense of being integral part of the team and life of supporting participants.

Sebastian has an interest in providing a person-centred approach to care and ensuring participants can access their community in a way that interests and empowers them. Sebastian believes in the importance of building meaningful relationships and connections within the community for the people he supports. He has a strong interest in helping other support workers alongside him, with his practical knowledge and insight, as to how best to advocate for those he supports.
Throughout his career, Sebastian’s sense of humour and relaxed outlook on life has helped him learn and connect with individuals of all backgrounds and abilities.
Sebastian has a love for the outdoors and spends his time out on his boat fishing or taking his 4WD out camping. Sebastian is a father and believes spending quality time with family is most important (if the fish aren’t biting!).
